|
Take the Verrazano bridge to the Belt Parkway. Take the Belt East bound to the Southern State Pkwy. (Which is past Kennedy Airport) Take the Southern State to exit 44. This is the exit for RT. 27 EAST. Make sure that you get on 27 EAST. This will bring you to Montauk. Montauk is about 127 miles from S.I. Once you enter the town of Montauk, Take the first left you can. You will see a sign that says Marinas & Coast guard ST. This is also the road to Gossman’s Dock Restaurant. If you get lost just ask for either the Montauk Marina, or Gossman’s. Once you get on that road you will pass the Wind Jammer Restaurant, The Blue Marlin and the train station. A few miles up the road you will come to a BIG stop sign. Make a right turn. (If you see a bar called Salivar’s on the right, or get to Gossman’s Dock, you went too far) Immediately to your left you will see the entrance to the Montauk Marina, this is NOT the place. 20 feet further up on the left you will see another driveway with a sign for Sportsmen’s Dock THIS IS the right place. (If you see a motel (windswept) on your right, or Liar’s Saloon on your left, you went too far. Go back about 75 yards. ) Go all the way down the driveway, you will see about 10 - 12 boats all stern in. The John Jack will be on the right with the deck lights on.
The boat will leave the dock at ?? AM sharp !!! it is best to come out the night before. If you leave S.I. at 8:30 PM it should take 3 - 4 hours to get to the boat.
