Trip Report - October 6, 2007
We have had some great diving this weekend !!!
On Saturday, we went to the Stolt. The intact stern half of a tanker, that reaches from 65' down to 130'. It is a short, 45Min ride from the inlet. Once on site, Terry tied us in near the top, about 70'. The vis was amazing, over 80 ft. you could see the boat on the surface, from the anchor line. This made it easy to navigate the whole wreck. There was ZERO current, it was like diving the Caribbean.
The conditions were so nice, we stayed there for two dives. No one was disappointed. October can be a funny month. When it is good, it’s great. When the wind blows, it can be real shitty. This time of year we see tropical fish in the first 20 ft. The temperature is 70 degrees all the way to 80 ft., with bottom temperatures in the high 50s. NOW !!! Is the time to hit the water. We have an Arundo trip with three spaces left on Sun. The 28th |
